Baking soda is a versatile ingredient that can be used beyond cooking. It has been a staple in our home as it has multiple uses including  neutralizing odors, removing tough stains, and cleaning difficult areas like the oven, microwave, and tile grout. In combination with other ingredients like vinegar or citric acid, baking soda is perfect for DIY cleaning products and even DIY toothpaste! Baking soda also helps unclog drains. Just Toss 1 cup of baking soda down the drain, then pour a cup of white non-concentrated vinegar or diluted cleaning vinegar. Let sit for half an hour and pour hot water down the drain.
